Baco Noir is one of Niagara Wine Country's much celebrated niche products and has recently
seemed to have developed a cult-like following. With its teeth-staining purple colour and
rich fruity flavour, it is quick to turn first-time sippers into long-time lovers.
As one of the region's leading producers of Baco Noir, Henry of Pelham has taken more
than their fair share of awards for this wine; subsequently "Baco Noir" and "Henry of Pelham"
have started to take on a synonymous meaning for some of us here in the Niagara Region.
Come and see how Henry of Pelham's winemaker, Ron Giesbrecht, has produced a stand-up Baco
year after year, and study how aging affects this grape variety. Led by one of the Speck
brothers, this Library Tasting of Bacos will include bottles dating back to 1995.
Come early to enjoy a sample of white wine during the reception, and stay later to enjoy
a light array of food and socializing afterwards. Hope to see you there!
