"CELEBRATING SILVER… SIPPING GOLD."We will toast silver by sipping gold-medal winning CEV Lily bubbly at our reception. We will then continue the celebration by featuring award winning wines. We anticipate the evening to be very informal with room for questions, comments etc. Don't bring presents; for this anniversary, Colio will be giving a gift to each attendee!! The guest list will include Carlo Negri the 2005 Ontario Winemaker of the Year. On our recent OWS bus tour, 36 of us had the unique opportunity to fully appreciate what Colio's corporate profile states " experience the 'Southern Hospitality' of Lake Erie, North Shore". For those not on the bus tour, Colio Winery is giving you a second chance to savour their 'award-winning' wines. SALUTE!!! Colio Estate Wines: Celebrating 25 Years Tasting Rooms: 'Au Revoir'With the closing (sold and will be under renovations as a new restaurant) of the Tasting Rooms, the Ontario Wine Society will now be meeting at the Ontario Club. We will miss the intimacy of the Tasting Rooms' people (Chris & Henry) and facility, as well as the extraordinary food-value/price they were able to provide to us. Ontario Club: Our New VenueStill, we are optimistic, that overall our new facility should equal what the Tasting Rooms had provided. We will be in an attractive, more spacious setting, with an ability to accommodate our ever increasing membership, to our tastings. Unfortunately, we did lose complementary parking. We also decided to keep our cost per tasting equivalent to previous years. This has necessitated changing from a selection of appetizers, to instead serving a SNACK plate. As always, we will welcome constructive comments from our members on our necessary change of location.
